N2  - AIT News was a series of internal newsletters produced by the Directorate to keep all staff informed the events taking place at the Institute; An issue was produced each month; The first two issues were titled 'Principal's Letter'. The publication was renamed 'ATI News' from May 1984, and renamed 'Auckland Institute of Technology News' from January 1992. From the beginning of 1994 a mid-month supplement entitled 'Auckland Institute of Technology Update' was produced. These newsletters are generally referred to as 'AIT News' and 'AIT Update'
