This publication (the artist's first dedicated catalogue) celebrates Zadie Xa's multimedia exhibition: House Gods, Animal Guides and Five Ways 2 Forgiveness. Running from September 2022 to April 2023 at the Whitechapel Gallery, the exhibition is the largest commission to date by Xa in the UK. Featuring complete installation photography, the publication also includes a curatorial introduction by the exhibition's curators Tarini Malik and Inês Costa, new essays by Lucia Pietroiusti, Ana Teixeira Pinto and Wong Binghao, a commissioned poem by Daniella Valz Gen and documentation of the artist's past exhibitions and performances.
