Maggie loves her life in London. When her mother announces that they are moving to Auckland, Maggie is not at all pleased. How could her mother do this to her? What is she supposed to do on the other side of the world without her friends? Full of resentment, Maggie sends negative vibes to everyone she meets and settling in becomes quite a challenge. To make matters worse, her little brother Stevie finds it very easy to fit in and loves his new life from the first moment. Maggie is still very much in London mentally and has no idea about the country, the people and the culture. A big mistake and a very close call wake Maggie up and help her realise what she needs to do to take advantage of the new opportunities that life in New Zealand offers her.
