"The words in this book come from interviews conducted between December 2017 and February 2020. Many were completely in te reo Māori, others completely in English, and some in both languages. To reflect the preferences of kaikōrero, none have been translated. Dialectical preferences have also been retained, such as 'k' in place of 'ng' as in Kāi Tahu/Ngāi Tahu, and variant iwi spellings"--Page 456.
