Explores the 1994 massacre of 800,000 Tutsis in Rwanda. Part one focuses on the Kibuye and Bugesera regions of Rwanda as survivors return to the massacre sites. Part two concentrates on the largest massacre in Kigali and why the international community abandoned the Tutsis of Rwanda. Part three examines what happened after the massacres as the Hutus faced human rights abuses at the hands of a new government largely made up of Tutsi extremists.
