A young elephant is born without proper ears so he is called No-Ears by the other elephants. His jungle friends do not mind he has no ears but the young elephant wants to have ears like the rest. Unsuccessfully he tries to make replacement ears out of feathers; leaves and even branches. When one of the older elephants falls and gets stuck. Only No-Ears is able to get in the hole and pull him out.
