Novel for children.
Anthony wants a swimming pool, just like his neighbour's. One way to find the money he decides to catch a paua poacher and hold him to ransom. And so begins his life of crime. Of course real life is not as simple as that. In between rescuing the paper boy from a gang of hoons, settling into a new school and working hard to save up for a van (which he needs his sister to drive), mummy's boy Anthony slowly changes into tough, resourceful Ant. Suggested level: primary, intermediate.
