Bond University wesbite, viewed 1 June 2017: staff profiles (David Field: graduating from Nottingham University in 1967 with an honours degree in Law, he taught for six years on the London University External LLB programme; transferring to Scotland, he spent several years in private practice eventually becoming a Procurator Fiscal (Public Prosecutor), mainly in the Glasgow area; also during his time in Scotland he served as Head of the Law School at Napier University, Edinburgh and was appointed as a Stipendiary Magistrate for Glasgow in 1986, a post which he occupied until his emigration to Australia in 1989; following two years with a Brisbane litigation firm, specialising in Supreme Court Commercial Causes, he was appointed as Solicitor for Prosecutions for Queensland; after nine years in this post, he spent two more years as a solicitor in private practice, specialising in Legal Aid criminal cases; it was during this time that he taught part-time at Bond, before taking up a contract position with the university in May, 2002)
