  • Information found: (Maryanne Dever is an Associate Professor in the School of Humanities and Social Science. She holds degrees from the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney. Before coming to the University of Newcastle in 2010 she held positions at the University of Sydney, the University of Hong Kong and Monash University where she was an Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Women's Studies and Gender Research. Maryanne Dever is joint Editor-in-Chief of Australian Feminist Studies (Routledge/Taylor & Francis). Maryanne Dever is recognised for her research in the areas of feminist literary and cultural studies and archive studies. Her current research focus is on the status of archived paper with the advent of digital technologies. She co-convenes, the 'archivefutures' research network, an international network of scholars and archivists engaged in speculative and theoretically informed considerations of archived manuscripts and personal papers. Maryanne Dever's research encompasses archive studies, feminist literary and cultural history and digital humanities. Current research projects focus on issues of intimacy and materiality in relation to both research practice (methodology) and to the socio-cultural status of archived objects. She also has on-going research interests in the area of gender, work and higher education and has published widely on women's and gender studies. She is particularly interested in everyday sexism and how it manifests itself in contemporary academe)
