Pūriri (Topical Term)

Whakamārama: He rākau nui nō te takutai. He tawherarima ngā rau, he kuratea ngā pua, me ngā hua. He nohoanga nō te pepetuna.

Scope Note: A coastal tree with shiny compound leaves of 5 leaflets, conspicuous pink red flowers, and red berries. The wood is very dark and dense, but is often tunnelled by caterpillars. Vitex lucens.
