Whakamārama: He paku pōro hanga i te raupo ā, he taura me te awe e tāpiri ana.
Scope Note: A small, soft ball usually made from bulrush leaves, with a long plaited twine attached. The ball(s) are swung by the hand(s) to keep the rhythm and beat of songs and prayers. Also traditionally used to train arms and wrists. Use for poi songs.
