Whakamārama: "Koia, koia!" He momo kōrero tērā. Tērā pea ki te kī ake koe, "Well, well! You don't say! Really! Indeed!" He aha tā te Māori? "Koia, koia!" "Look at him will you!" Ko ērā āhuatanga katoa ka puta mai i roto i tērā kōrero. Kei te āhua kē o tō whakapuaki, o tō whakahua i taua kupu.
Scope Note: "Koia, koia!" is an example of kīwaha, e.g., "Well, well! You don't say! Really! Indeed!" and "Look at him will you!" These give emphasis to polite sarcasms.
