- Information found: (Victor Stoichita; Victor Ieronim Stoichita (Romanian name: Victor Ieronim Stoichiță); born 13 June 1949 in Bucharest; writer, historian, and art critic; he has been a visiting professor at some prestigious academic institutions such as les Hautes Etudes en Sciences Ecole Sociales, Paris (2002) and Harvard University (2004-2006); he was an assistant at the Department of History and Theory of Art Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest (1973-1981) and at the Institute of History of Art at the University of Munich (1984-1990), visiting professor at the Sorbonne (1987), Göttingen (1989 -1990) and Frankfurt (1990); since 1991 he holds the chair of modern and contemporary art at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland; in February 2007 he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the National University of Arts in Bucharest)
