Dr. Lull has also taught in the United States at the University of California-Santa Barbara, the University of California-Berkeley, the University of San Francisco, and the University of Pittsburgh's Semester at Sea Program. He received a Doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters degree (with Honors) at the University of Oregon.
