Darnell Hunt (born 1962) is an American sociologist and academic administrator. He is the dean of Social Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he is also a professor of Sociology and African American Studies, and the former director of the Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies. Darnell Hunt graduated from the University of Southern California, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1984. He earned a master's in Business Administration from Georgetown University in 1988, and a PhD from UCLA in 1994)
