Dana Gioia (1950- ) is an American poet. He has chaired the Natioal Endowment for the Arts and became the California State Poet Laureate in 2015. Previous to 1992, when he became a full-time poet, he was an executive at General Foods Corporation. He is the brother of jazz historian and composer Ted Gioia.
