- Information found: (Roni Feinstein; independent scholar in Art History based in Southern California whose focus is upon late twentieth and early twenty-first century art; she has worked as a museum director and curator, university professor, museum educator, independent curator and arts journalist; she received her Ph. D. in 1990 at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, where she wrote her dissertation on Robert Rauschenberg; in the mid-1980s, she served for 7 years as Director of the Whitney Museum of American Art, Fairfield County, organizing exhibitions and supervising all museum functions; during the 20+ years following, while living in South Florida, Toronto, Sydney, the New York area and Southern California, she has been an independent scholar extensively involved with teaching, curating and writing; while she authored scores of exhibition catalogues for museums and galleries and articles for various newspapers and art journals, she wrote most consistently for Art in America; at present, she serves as Co-Chair of ArtTable Southern California and instructs courses in contemporary art at UCLA Extension; for the past four years, she has flown to New York and other major American cities on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to facilitate the art program of a group of prominent New York collectors)
