Senior Business Course class photographs. - 25 prints (Black and white prints (15 x 20 cm.) firmly glued to non-acid free board and typed name guides which are also on non-acid free board.) 15 items (They were originally mounted and framed under glass in black wooden 'diploma' frames, but were transferred to acid free photographic envelopes by the Archives (29/4/93) as the mounts/frames were in poor condition. COMM/1001. From 1961 classes were indentified by codes which derive from the first letter of the teachers' surnames: C=Connery, E=Etherington, I=Irwin, L=Logan, M=McLachlan (1963), Mace (1965), R=Ray (1961), Reed (1964 - 1965), S=Stanners, T=Tan (1964), Turner (1959 - 1961, 1965). In 1963 Mr and Mrs Gilbert were both teaching - W=Mr G. and G=Mrs G. Prior to 1963 John Leech, art dealers, Auckland, framed the photos. From 1963 onward they were framed by Spooners of Wyndam Street, Auckland. Chronological order by year and alphabetical order by class code (see Notes below) within each year. The itemisation of the material reflects the way they were originally framed. Each 'Item' is a photograph or set of photographs which originally were within a single frame.

Class photographs of students and teachers of the Senior Business Course, with names recorded. The course was a full-time one year course to train girls for secretarial work. It ran from c.1959 - 1985. It was superceeded in 1986 by the Secretarial Studies Course. Includes one informal photograph of Kay Kelly, Kay Bruce, Fay Masters and Margaret Constantine who were students of the 1960 Senior Business class. = Senior Business Course class photographs
