LIBR/1029/1. Framed : acrylic wash on canvas ; size when framed 1300 x 1133 cm. The Institute Art Acquisitions Committee purchased this painting from the artist in 1991 which has been in the office of the Dean of Arts, John Harre. After his retirement, the painting was moved to another location at 240 Queen St. In a memorandum dated 17/9/1995 to Freda Blanchard, Institute Librarian, Nancy de Freitas wrote " Blue Evening Curtain is an important painting in the development of my work over the past decade and I would be pleased to see it have a permanent home in the library". Later, on 13/10/95, the painting was transferred to the Library. Two slides of this painting are kept in the Archives. Please look in : Box 1 - G 24 for the slides.
